Garage. Sometimes You Can See Much More (2011). The video explores the transition from darkness to light: from a closed garage that lets streaks of light filter through, the deep blue of the ocean opens up. The transformation is marked by the squeak of the shutter opening, which precedes the vision of light and ecstasy. A tribute to Edward Hopper’s Room by the Sea, it reflects on light, space, and perception. The senses are first sharpened in darkness, then overwhelmed by the dazzling light of an open space.
