A Love Supreme Impro Festival is a series dedicated to avant-garde music, placing young musicians at the center of its programming—artists engaged in improvisation and, more broadly, in creative music. The performers present alternative repertoires beyond mainstream logic, offering strongly site-specific performances that enhance the acoustic qualities of the spaces and shape each set through improvisation, creating a unique experience deeply connected to place.
Opening Act: Giovanni Nevyjel – trumpet
A trumpeter from Trieste, Giovanni Nevyjel is active in both jazz and improvisational music. He studies at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory and performs with the DOOOM Orchestra and the improvisation quartet TOK!, as well as leading his own quintet.
Main Act: Giuseppe Bottiglieri – solo double bass
Lucóre is the latest solo project by Neapolitan double bassist Giuseppe Bottiglieri, currently based in Berlin. The work is a sonic journey through his roots and identity, serving as a point of departure toward distant destinations, in search of new sounds and images—redrawing the boundaries of the present beyond imposed limits.
Bottiglieri’s spontaneous compositions dwell on the edges of contemporary music, blending the legacies of Xenakis, Scodanibbio, and Sciarrino with free jazz, Mediterranean soundscapes, and the vibrant energy of Berlin. The influence of the German capital is evident in his use of digital technologies and processed sound, transforming the double bass into a universe of sonic possibilities. The instrument’s organic timbre merges with electronic textures, shaping a rich and immersive musical narrative.
A Love Supreme Impro Festival is promoted by Associazione Gemma.
